History of Medicine in Oregon project launches new Website

Since 2006, HC&A has been a proud partner of the Oregon Medical Education Foundation's History of Medicine in Oregon project. The first stage of the project resulted in a collection of oral history interviews with leaders in Oregon medical practice and education. The OMEF now seeks to build educational content that will interpret Oregon's contributions to medical history for a general audience. The first step in this direction was the History of Medicine in Oregon website, which launched today.

The Website includes a timeline of milestones in Oregon medical history, an extensive list of resources for medical history researchers, a selection of video "Medical Moments," and fascinating "Did You Know?" factoids. Images from OHSU Historical Collections & Archives are featured throughout.
